Greetings! I am Mrs. Lindberg or Señora Lindberg and I am honored to be joining the LaMotte team as the Spanish teacher this year! I was born in El Salvador, a tiny country in Central America, and moved to Nevada when I was fifteen. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education, Spanish Major, and a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Minor. I've taught Spanish 1A and 1B in Middle School all the way through Advanced Placement Spanish 9-10 in High School for 8 years before having children. I've taught Spanish to children ages 3-13 in small groups in Bozeman since 2016. I am the mother of two kind, happy, and energetic boys. Besides teaching, I enjoy reading, music, hiking, and traveling with my husband and children. I have visited Spain, Costa Rica, and Guatemala, and have traveled with students to Mexico. I am excited to be your child’s teacher and I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I enjoy planning engaging lessons that incorporate various learning styles, music, and cultural knowledge. My goal is to encourage my students to use the language they know, no matter how limited it may be. My dream is that my students will use Spanish for the rest of their lives as they continue to enjoy the diversity of the Latino culture.
I am looking forward to beginning an exciting journey together as your child learns more about Spanish and cultures around the world. The Spanish lessons this year will be centered around a communicative approach that incorporates the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Your child will receive Spanish instruction twice/three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In order to supplement the work we do in class, I highly encourage you to practice Spanish with your child at home whenever possible.
Please feel free to send me a note or call the school at (406) 586-2838 and leave me a message or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions or concerns. I also welcome appointments to meet in person.
